Quick guide: EU/EFTA citizens can work freely in Germany. Citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Israel, and the UK can enter Germany and apply for a residence permit within 90 days. All other nationalities need to apply for an au pair visa at the German embassy before traveling (this can take 2–3 months or longer). You must also be 18–26 years old and have at least A1-level German.

What draws you to being an au pair with our family? Is there anything you'd like us to know about you?
Optional but encouraged
This is your chance to tell us a bit about yourself — your personality, interests, why Germany, why our family caught your eye. No need to write an essay, just be yourself.
